Meredith Brown was born in Northampton Massachusetts, raised in the small town of Montague, and went to Turners Falls High School; a small high school with a graduating class of about 60 students. As a young child art had always been an interest of Meredith’s, but originally she wanted to be a dancer when she grew up. All throughout her schooling art classes were always her favorite, and in sophomore year of high school she took a class called Graphic Arts; and thus began her career track of becoming a graphic designer. She took every art class available at her high school, including classes in basic video and photography. Wanting to get away from home, but not too far away, she found herself at UMass Dartmouth in the Fall of 2013. Immediately she found herself in love with the CVPA and flourished in her Graphic Design classes. She is a member of UMass Dartmouth’s Graphic Design Club and a member of AIGA’s Boston Chapter. She doesn’t know where her design career will take her but she wouldn’t mind expanding her thesis longboard brand into the real deal.
